Fiona is a native of Bonnie Scotland. She studied at the University of Edinburgh, where she obtained an MA (Hons) in Politics and Sociology.
As a former political staffer, Fiona has been involved in a number of sociopolitical campaigns. She has a keen interest in international development, and social policies that tackle issues relating to poverty, education, discrimination, and gender equality, to name but a few.
Fiona has been an avid writer since she was in elementary school, and is also an advocate of lifelong learning. When she is not writing, she is often watching soccer, taking a trip to the countryside, or finding landscapes to photograph.
Fiona is a former competitive swimmer, and still continues to go to the pool for relaxation and to keep fit. She also raises awareness of health issues, especially Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (Type 3) and diabetes.
Fiona is not a Mom, but has observed in herself, and others, maternal instincts that strengthen bonds, and provide support. She is an intersectional feminist, and often writes on issues relating to gender equality and our diverse global society.
